Living in Tzfat, also known as Safed, is a unique and vibrant experience. The old city is a maze of cobblestone streets and alleys that lead to stunning views of the surrounding hills and the valley below. The city has a rich history, dating back to the 16th century, and its rich cultural heritage is evident in the many synagogues and ancient buildings that still stand today. Tzfat is known for its vibrant arts community and is home to many artists and galleries. The city is a hub of creativity, with artists from all over the world gathering to showcase their work and collaborate on new projects. Despite its small size, Tzfat is a hub of activity, with a lively market, bustling cafes, and a variety of cultural events throughout the year. In the summer months, the streets are filled with the sounds of music and laughter, while in the winter the city takes on a more peaceful and introspective mood. One of the most unique aspects of life in Tzfat is its spiritual atmosphere. The city is considered one of the four holy cities in Judaism and is considered a center of spiritual and mystical study. Many people come to Tzfat to study Kabbalah, the Jewish mystical tradition, and to deepen their connection to the divine. Living in Tzfat can be both peaceful and intense. The city's narrow streets and alleys offer a sense of intimacy and community, while the stunning views and spiritual atmosphere provide a sense of awe and wonder. Whether you are exploring the city's rich history, taking in its artistic and cultural offerings, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee in one of its many cafes, life in Tzfat is truly a unique and unforgettable experience. The best way to get around the old city of Tzfat is on foot. The narrow and winding streets and alleyways can make it difficult for cars and even bikes to navigate, so walking is the most practical option. Plus, it allows for a more immersive experience, as you can take your time to explore the city's many hidden gems and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding hills and valley. Cars have on street parking that is metered daily from 8am to 4pm, except Fridays and Saturdays. There is limited street parking available in the Old City. The Mini Suit is literally steps from everything the Old City has to offer, close to Synagogues, Galleries, Cafes, Restaurants, Catering, Supermarkets and Bakeries. Just keep in mind that taxis may have difficulty navigating the narrow streets and may have to park a short distance away from your destination. In general, Tzfat is a small city, and most of the main attractions are located within a few blocks of each other, making it easy to explore on foot.
